Delete your RoadSignal account
You can delete your RoadSignal account and its data at any time. There are two routes, depending on whether you still have the app installed.
If you have the app (fastest, immediate)
- Open RoadSignal and go to the Profile tab.
- Scroll to Delete account and confirm.
Deletion is immediate and permanent. The app signs you out and starts a new anonymous account the next time it needs one.
If you no longer have the app
Email support@roadsignalapp.com from any address and ask us to delete your account.
RoadSignal accounts are anonymous. We do not collect an email address, a phone number or a real name, so there is usually nothing on file that links an account to you — which means we may need help identifying it. If you saved a recovery key, include it: that is the one thing that identifies an account on its own. Your public handle helps too.
If you have neither, we may genuinely be unable to find the account. That is the privacy design working as intended rather than an evasion — an account we cannot connect to you is also one that holds nothing identifying you.
What deletion removes
- Your account, display name, handle and avatar.
- Your garage, including car photos.
- Your recorded drives, saved routes, likes and time trials.
- Your convoy memberships and any images you uploaded.
What stays, and why
Some things other people rely on are kept, with your identifier removed so they are no longer connected to you:
- Hazard, police and road-closure reports you submitted — other drivers are still relying on them.
- Routes you shared publicly, which stay on the map unattributed.
- Convoy sessions other people are still driving in.
- Messages you sent, shown without a sender.
